I want to share with you what I have learned from twenty-six years of teaching kindergarten, five hundred+ students and at least two thousand parent conferences. I came to realize that my career, training, and life experiences have provided me with a wealth of knowledge to help, guide and support others. As parents, we are constantly evolving and learning – a work in progress. As soon as I think I have seen it all, the universe reminds me that I have not. My own children keep me humble. My ninety-five year old father and eighty-five year old mother remind me that being a parent never ends.
Knowing you are not alone, and recognizing we are all in transition, will make it easier to navigate through this mystical and magical journey called parenthood. I hope you find support, inspiration and knowledge from my variety of parenting topics. Thank you for visiting Parents In Progress.

“It’s not only children who grow. Parents do too. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours. I can’t tell my children to reach for the sun. All I can do is reach for it, myself.” Joyce Maynard
